7 Locations In Jakarta To Gresik Searched By KPK Looking For Evidence Of Corruption PT PGN

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) searched seven locations in the Jakarta, South Tangerang, and Gresik, East Java last week. This forced effort was made to find evidence of alleged corruption at PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN).

"The search was carried out on four company offices and three private homes related to this case," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, June 4.

Ali said that a number of evidences were pocketed by investigators after the search was carried out. Among them are documents related to the sale and purchase of gas which led to allegations of corruption.

"The results obtained (investigators in the form, red) documents related to gas buying and selling transactions, contract documents, and account mutations," he said.

The KPK ensures that the evidence found will be further analyzed and continued with confiscation. This document is expected to prove the actions of the suspects that have been determined.

"(Documents, ed) will soon be confiscated as evidence in the case," Ali explained.

Previously reported, the KPK revealed that there were two suspects in the alleged corruption at PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN). However, their identities have not been conveyed because the process of collecting evidence is still ongoing.

In addition, the anti-corruption commission has asked the Directorate General of Immigration of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights to prevent two people from leaving the country for the first six months. Based on information obtained, both are the Commercial Directors of PT PGN, Danny Praditya and Iswan Ibrahim who are the President Directors of PT Isargas.

This prevention was proposed by the KPK to facilitate the summons of both of them. Those whose status is not explained are expected to be cooperative when asked for information.
