President Jokowi Inaugurates First University Development At IKN
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo inaugurated the construction of the Gunadarma University International Doctoral Program Campus Building, as the first university in the capital city of the archipelago.
"I really appreciate the first university built in the capital city of the archipelago, namely Gunadarma University," said President Jokowi in his remarks at the groundbreaking of the Gunadarma University International Doctors Program Campus Building at IKN, in a YouTube account broadcast by the Presidential Secretariat reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 4.
President Jokowi said educational facilities are of course very much needed by residents of the archipelago or residents of IKN, both elementary, junior high, high school and university.
Before inaugurating the laying of the first stone at Gunadarma University, the President also laid the first stone for elementary, junior high and high school schools Al Azhar Summarecon.
The President hopes that residents of IKN who want to take international doctoral programs with the cooperation of other universities can study at Gunadarma University.

"Which will later take on an international doctoral program in collaboration with universities in France, Slovakia, in Sweden and others. So that the human resources we have will have good quality," said the President.
The Head of State hopes that human resources in IKN can improve their quality through educational facilities at IKN in the midst of such intense international human resources competition.
The President believes that the construction of Gunadarma University can improve, improve and develop human resources in Indonesia, especially in East Kalimantan and Kalimantan.
"By saying Bismillahirrahmanirrahim this afternoon laying the first stone, I officially declare that the groundbreaking of the Gunadarma University International Doctoral Program Campus has begun," said the President, closing his remarks.
