Entering The Scandal Market, Toyota Stops Delivery And Sales Of Yaris Cross, Corolla Axio, And Corolla Fielder
JAKARTA - Scandal di Toyota/Dahihatsu atas pemuan hasil uji tabrak kendaraannya masih terus menggelayuti produsen mobil terbesar di dunia ini.
Most recently, in a Toyota Global release published June 3, Toyota said it had reported the results of its investigation on May 31, following instructions from the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transportation and Tourism (MLIT) on January 26 this year.
Investigations into the seven models are said to be ongoing, including some that have been discontinued since 2014, which were tested using different methods of government standards.
From this Toyota internal investigation, it found irregularities in the hit test method used for 3 production models (Corolla Fielder/Axio and Yaris Cross). Meanwhile, 4 other models that have been stopped production since 2014 (Crown, Isis, Sienta, and RX) were found to have errors in the hit test and other testing methods.

Toyota has again officially apologized for the inconvenience caused to consumers and stakeholders who have been trusting them. This scandal adds to the series of similar cases that previously hit Hino Motors, Daihatsu Motor, and Toyota Industries Corporation.
Although it was confirmed that there were no violations of regulations and vehicle users did not need to worry, Toyota took firm steps by temporarily stopping shipments and sales of 3 models still produced in Japan (Corolla Fielder, Corolla Axio, and Yaris Cross).
As a form of accountability, Toyota will provide a detailed explanation to the authorities and take corrective steps, including testing under strict supervision.
