Indonesia Open 2024: Jonatan Christie Dream Stage
JAKARTA Men's singles Jonatan Christie did not cover up one of the biggest wishes of his career. This dream is to win the Indonesia Open tournament.
The opportunity to realize this desire is open to Jonathan this year when the event is held from Tuesday, June 4, 2024, to Sunday, June 9, 2024.
"This is one of the biggest matches at individual level. What's more, it's at home. I as an athlete must have dreams and hopes of becoming a champion here," said Jonathan.
Jonathan, who is currently number one in Indonesia, has experienced various prestigious titles ranging from Super 500, Super 750, and finally Super 1000 at All England 2024.

As a top athlete, these achievements are actually almost perfect. However, the Indonesia Open held at home has an important meaning for athletes like Jonathan.
Jonathan said that getting on the first podium at the Indonesia Open was certainly not easy. However, he hopes that the preparations he makes can go according to plan.
"Preparation so far is okay. Yesterday I had time to check the conditions and situations on the ground. Some are noted and will be discussed with the coach," he said.
The Indonesian men's singles number has not won the Indonesia Open for a long time. The last men's singles to climb to the first podium was Simon Santoso in the 2012 edition.
As a whole, Indonesia in the last two editions has not held. The last time the Red-White representative was able to come out as the winner of the Indonesia Open was Marcus Fernaldi Gideon/Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo in 2021.
At the Indonesia Open 2024, Indonesia has 18 representatives. In detail, three men's singles, three women's singles, five men's doubles, three women's doubles, and four mixed doubles.
