Impact On Music, ABBA Wins Honorary Title From The Kingdom Of Sweden

JAKARTA - Veteran vocal group ABBA reunited after a while. The four of them gathered in Stockholm to fulfill an invitation from the Swedish kingdom.

Bjorn Ulvaeus, Anni-Frid Lyngstad, Agnetha Faltskog and Benny Andersson attended and underwent the inauguration of the Royal Vasa Order title on Friday, May 31.

This title is a form of respect that is not arbitrary. Launching NME, the title was the most prestigious in Sweden, which was last awarded 50 years ago.

ABBA is considered worthy of this honorary title because of the great impact they have created in Sweden and the rest of the world through music. "The respect you have achieved today is a form of Swedish gratitude for your extraordinary efforts," said the King of Sweden, Carl XVI Gustaf.

Since 1982 ABBA has never appeared live again in a complete formation. In 2022, the appearance of the ABBA Voyage project, a virtual concert with technological sophistication that caught the eye.

In their recent statement, ABBA began to be interested in bringing the virtual concept into a live band. But it seems fans should be patient waiting for it.
