Stolen Spion Glass Selling Money Used To Buy Drugs, IDR 900 Thousand

The Head of the Pademangan Police, Kompol Binsar Hatorangan Sianturi, said that the three car rearview mirror thieves who were arrested on Jalan Ampera II, West Pademangan, Tuesday, May 28, often used drugs. In fact, the money obtained from selling car rearview mirrors is used to buy drugs and eat daily.

"The motive is for daily needs and also for buying drugs," said Binsar Police Commissioner Hatorangan Sianturi to reporters at the Pademangan Police, Friday, May 31.

The three perpetrators have been in action throughout 2024. They have a target, in one week of action. Meanwhile, the goods obtained from the stolen goods are sold at a price of IDR 700-900 thousand by the collectors who are currently being sought by the police.

"The spion they stole, we have pocketed the identity of the collector for one pair of car mirrors sold between 700 thousand and 900 thousand," he said.

Three specialists in luxury car mirror thieves in the Pademangan area, North Jakarta, were arrested by the Police, last Tuesday, May 28. The three perpetrators had the initials RY(23), IP (23) and AY (20).

One of the three perpetrators was shot by the police for trying to fight back and run away while showing the location of the theft.
