Jabodebek LRT Will Implement Normal Rates Starting June 2024, The Farest Is IDR 20,000
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) through the Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) will apply normal rates for the Jabodebek LRT.
The tariff will take effect on June 1, 2024.
The application of the normal tariff ends the promo tariff validity period which has been taking place from 22 October 2023 to 31 May.
The Director General of Railways, Risal Wasal, stated that the normal tariff is IDR 5,000 for the first kilometer (km) in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Transportation Number KM 67 of 2023.
Risal said, in the application of this normal rate, the maximum tariff is IDR 10,000 on weekdays outside of peak hours and also weekends.
Meanwhile, a maximum tariff of IDR 20,000 is applied on weekdays and busy hours.
In addition, said Risal, in the application of this normal tariff, there was no change in the busy hours, for the afternoon at 16.00 WIB to 19.59 WIB and in the morning at 06.00 WIB to 08.59 WIB.
"Even though the promo rate ends, DJKA still imposes the same maximum tariff, which is Rp. 10,000 on weekdays outside of peak hours and weekends as well as National Holidays. Then, Rp. 20,000 on weekdays during peak hours," he said in an official statement, Thursday, May 30.

Risal explained that the decision was taken based on the public's interest and enthusiasm which was quite high in the use of the Jabodebek LRT, as reflected in more than 11 million people who enjoyed Jabodebek LRT services from operating in August 2023 to May 28, 2024.
"We hope that affordable tariffs and the complete and comfortable facilities offered can further increase public awareness to use the Jabodebek LRT, integrated transportation in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok and Bekasi areas," he said.
