Starlink Recovers After Temporary Blackout

JAKARTA - SpaceX's satellite unit, Starlink, experienced a blackout that affected thousands of its users on Tuesday, May 18. However, after a while, the satellite internet service has returned to normal operations around the world.

The Starlink service had been outages for about an hour last Tuesday. This affects 41,393 users, according to outage tracking site Downdetector.com.

SpaceX's Starlink, which has about 60% of the approximately 7,500 satellites orbiting Earth, is dominant in the field of satellite internet.

Recently, Starlink is also operating in Indonesia. However, it was not stated in their report whether the territory of Indonesia, which has just been installed with this super-fast satellite service, was also disrupted.

Unfortunately, Starlink is also reluctant to mention what exactly caused the disturbance. It was also not stated whether there was compensation for users with their internet services.
