Former Head Of Perum Bulog Waingapu NTT Becomes A Suspect Of Government Rice Corruption
The East Nusa Tenggara High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) has named the former Head of the Bulog Branch of the Waingapu Branch with the initials Z as a suspect in a corruption case in the implementation of government rice reserves (CBP) with a state loss of Rp. 10.7 billion.Head of the Public Information Section, AA Raka Putra Dharmana, said that his party immediately detained Z after determining the suspect against him."Earlier, he was immediately detained after the examination," he said in Kupang, Antara, Wednesday, May 29.The suspect is threatened with Article 2 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 18 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code, then subsidiary Article 3 jo. Article 18 of the Law on the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code, or both Article 8 jo. Article 18 of Law no. 31/1999.Determination of Z as a suspect on suspicion of committing a criminal act of corruption which resulted in state losses of Rp. 10.7 billion.The examination by the prosecutor's team was carried out based on the results of a special audit by the internal surveillance unit (SPI) team of Perum Bulog Number R-03/LHA/DU303/PW.03.03/03/2024 dated March 19, 2024.The SPI team found that there was a problem with the difference in the lack of rice supply at the Kambajawa Warehouse of the Waingapu Branch Office, East Sumba Regency.
"Currently, the suspect is immediately detained at the Kupang detention center starting today for the next 20 days," he said.
