Panca Darmansyah Charged With Layered Articles At The South Jakarta District Court, Premeditated Murder And Domestic Violence
JAKARTA - Panca Darmansyah, a defendant in the murder case of 4 biological children in Jagakarsa, was charged with multiple articles by the Public Prosecutor (JPU) at the South Jakarta District Court (Jaksel).
The prosecutor charged Panca with premeditated murder as regulated in Article 340 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 76 C in conjunction with Paragraph (4) of Law No. 35 of 2014 concerning amendments to Law No. 23 of 2002 concerning child protection, as amended by Law No. 17 of 2016 concerning the stipulation of a Perpu in Lieu of Law No. 1 of 2016 concerning the second amendment to Law No. 23 of 2002 concerning child protection into law.
In addition, the Public Prosecutor also charged Panca for acts of Domestic Violence (KDRT) against his wife, as referred to in Article 44 Paragraph (3) of Law No. 23 of 2004 concerning PKDRT in conjunction with Article 44 paragraph (1) of Law No. 23 of 2004 in conjunction with Article 351 paragraph (2) of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 44 paragraph (4) of Law No. 23 of 2004 concerning the Elimination of Domestic Violence.
The panel of judges asked the defendant whether he wanted to file an exception or objection related to the indictment against Panca Darmasyah.
"Propose an objection?" asked the presiding judge, Sulistyo Muhammad Dwi Putro in the South Jakarta District Court courtroom, Wednesday, May 29.
Then, Panca asked her legal team, Amriadi Pasaribu regarding the indictment.
"In accordance with the conversation, we asked for time to answer the prosecutor's indictment," replied Panca Darmansyah's team of attorneys, Amriadi Pasaribu.

Panca Darmansyah is a suspect in the murder of his 4 underage biological children at home which he contracted in Jagakarsa, South Jakarta.
The motive for the heinous act was because Panca felt jealous of his wife so that she vented it to her biological child.
