Democrats Optimistic Bobby Nasution Win Opponents Ready, Including Ahok In The North Sumatra Gubernatorial Election
Chairman of the Democratic Party BPOKK, Herman Khaeron is optimistic that Bobby Nasution can calm the battle of the 2024 North Sumatra gubernatorial election against PDIP politician Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok. It is known that the former governor of DKI Jakarta is being watched by a bull party to advance in the North Sumatra gubernatorial election.
"In contestation, if you are not optimistic about winning, don't contest. We are optimistic that Bobby will win the fight later," said Herman, Wednesday, May 29.
Herman assessed that Bobby had the advantage to lead North Sumatra. Moreover, President Joko Widodo's (Jokowi) son-in-law is considered successful in building the city of Medan.
"First, there is the experience of winning in the Medan Pilkada, meaning that he can become the Mayor of Medan. Then as long as he is the Mayor of Medan, it's also good, the way to lead is also liked, young people are even excited there, very happy now with the development situation in Medan City," explained Herman.
"I think this can be developed. This means that if Medan is the Center of Gravity of North Sumatra, it can be developed to other areas. Bobby is originally a North Sumatran person, explained Nasution," he added.
