Manchester United Failed To Get McKenna To Replace Ten Hag?
JAKARTA - Kieran McKenna is the target of many big Premier League clubs after successfully defeating Ipswich Town.
The 38-year-old manager brought Ipswich promotions in a row. In the 2022/2023 season, the club nicknamed The Tractor Boys was promoted to Championship.
Then, he brought the promotion team to the 2024/2025 Premier League after ending the 2023/2024 Championship as runners-up.
One of the most aggressively attracting McKenna is Manchester United, apart from Chelsea and Brighton.
The Red Devils are already shouting about expelling Erik ten Hag and putting McKenna's name on the top list.
However, Manchester United has a great chance of failing to bring McKenna to Old Trafford.
The Athletic reported that McKenna is ready to sign a new contract with Ipswich.

McKenna will end its future speculation by committed to signing a new long-term contract at Ipswich.
The 38-year-old manager doesn't seem to want to be careless by directly choosing a big club at the start of his managerial career.
Staying at Ipswich is a realistic choice. You see, McKenna first jumped in as a professional club manager when she took charge of The Tractor Boys in December 2023.
In that first season, McKenna only brought Ipswich Town to finish 11th League One.
Throughout his work on Ipswich, he has won 75 out of 131 matches.
Prior to his career as a professional club manager, McKenna had spent time at Manchester United as assistant coach of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
He also held the Manchester United U-18 (2016-2018) and Tottenham Hostpur U-18 (2015-2016) teams.
So, it feels like Manchester United have to bite their fingers to bring McKenna back to Old Trafford even though it was previously rumored to have held intensive talks.
Meanwhile, the last time Ipswich Town played in the Premier League came in 2002.
