LPS Budgets IDR 1 Trillion To Build Office Building In IKN

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) Purbaya Yudhi Sadivewa revealed that his party spent a budget of IDR 1 trillion which was used to build LPS head office buildings in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN).

"We budgeted for Rp891 billion, maybe bigger than that. It could be more than Rp1 trillion because we are strengthening here and there," Purbaya told the media crew, Tuesday, May 28.

Purbaya emphasized that since the groundbreaking was carried out by President Joko Widodo on January 17, his party has been serious about building a new office building at LPS. However, in the construction process, there were a few obstacles so that there was a delay in the transfer of employees to IKN.

Regarding the progress of the construction of the building, Purbaya said that in August some of the building's first floors had been built.

"We are targeting 3 stages. After the third phase, we are targeting it to be ready for April 2025," he explained.

To ensure his seriousness, Purbaya said that his party had prepared the names of LPS employees who would be transferred to IKN in the first stage and the transfer would be completed in April 2025.

"By law LPS is domiciled under the state. Glad we moved to the new capital. If assigned anywhere, ready. Any time anyplace no Choice," concluded Purbaya.
