Police Name 5 Suspects For The Murder Of Arfak Mountains ASN, Mastermind Of Murder And ASN
JAKARTA - The Manokwari City Police (Polresta), West Papua, has named five suspects in the crime of premeditated murder of Yahya Sayori, the state civil apparatus (ASN) at the Arfak Mountains Regency Government.
"The five suspects have the initials YU, SU, MT, SS, and NI," said Deputy Chief of Manokwari Police, Kompol Agustina Sineri, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, May 27.
The Deputy Chief of Police explained that the determination of five suspects was based on the results of the development of the case of the discovery of the victim's body at the Gunung Desk Tourism Park, Manokwari, April 23, 2024.
The day before, the victim was reported missing while hunting with 16 other people. However, when found dead, the family suspected that there were irregularities in the incident.
"The family suspected that the victim died because of an act of violence. The victim's wife then made a police report," said Agustina.
Head of the Manokwari Police Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Raja Putra Napitupulu said his party immediately followed up on the report by processing the crime scene and autopsy of the body.
The police then strengthened the evidence from the results of the crime scene and autopsy by examining 11 witnesses. Furthermore, his party knows the role of each suspect.
"The results of the examination revealed that five perpetrators with different roles killed the victim," said Napitupulu's son.
The role of the suspect YU hit the victim's head with a block, SU played a role in holding the victim's leg, MT played a role in hitting the victim's leg with wood, SS played a role in stepping on the victim's feet, and NI was also involved in hitting the victim.
