Qatar Airways Destination For Dublin Turbulence Severely In The Sky Of Turkey: 6 Passengers And 6 Crew Injured
JAKARTA - At least six passengers and six crew members were injured in the Qatar Airways airline flight experiencing severe turbulence.
There was no emergency landing on the QR107 flight. The plane on the Doha-Dublin route, Ireland landed on schedule on Sunday, May 26 at around 13.00 local time.
"When it landed, the plane was immediately responded to by emergency services, including airport police and our fire department and SAR team, as six passengers and six crew members [a total of 12 people] were reportedly injured after the plane experienced turbulence as the plane flew over the Turkish sky," Dublin Airport Spokesman said in a statement, Sunday, May 26, quoted by The Sun.
While it is undeniable that there are still delayed flights, the spokesman confirmed the incident did not interfere with the airline's schedule from and to Dublin Airport.
Paul Mocc, one of the passengers, recounted the condition of the Qatar Airways plane when dealing with extreme turbulence to the Irish RTE media. He said a number of passengers 'hit the roof', while food and drinks were scattered everywhere.
He added that seeing the crew being bandaged was limp after extreme turbulence.
