Jokowi Invites Jan Ethes And La Lembah To Ride Andong Around Malioboro During The Long Holiday
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo took advantage of the holiday by inviting his two grandchildren, namely Jan Ethes Srinarendra and La Lembah Manah, enjoying the night crowd in the Malioboro area, Yogyakarta, by traveling up andong, Friday night, May 24.
Based on an official statement from the Press Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat received in Jakarta, Saturday, the President and his two grandchildren began to ride Andong from the Yogyakarta Presidential Palace, to Jalan Rekobayan, Jalan Jogonegaran, to Jalan Malioboro.
Togetherness with President Jokowi and his grandson from his first son, Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Selvi Ananda, this not only caught the attention of the residents, but also warmed the atmosphere.
People's boisterous voices welcomed the andong that the President's family was traveling in in front of them.
"Mr. Jokowi! Mr. Jokowi!", the sound of screams from the public was repeatedly heard. Not a few people captured the moment with their cell phone cameras.
Jan Ethes, the President's first grandson, seems to not only enjoy time with his grandfather, but also share t-shirts with residents they meet.
Zainuri, who was lucky to get the opportunity to drive andong, expressed his feelings.
"Yes, if it's already sustenance, where else are you going? Alhamdulillah, we're playing around with his grandson," he said with great enthusiasm.

Their light chat throughout Malioboro, according to Zainuri, is a pleasant moment, reminiscent of the crowd of cities during the holidays. He was also impressed with the simplicity and warmth of the interaction between the President and his grandchildren.
"I'm very familiar, like me and my own grandchildren," said Zainuri, describing the closeness between the President and his grandchildren.
Zainuri also admitted that he would remember the moment of becoming an online driver on Friday (24/5) considering this year is the last year of President Jokowi's leadership.
"Pak Jokowi is a great leader, but unfortunately tomorrow his term of office will expire. Keep Mr. Jokowi's spirit," Zainuri concluded.
