Spotify Launches Self-made Fonts For Use In Apps
JAKARTA Spotify continues to develop its music streaming platform to provide comfort to its users. With continued innovations, Spotify decided to change their fonts. The company introduced a new font or type of letter known as Spotify Mix on Wednesday, May 22. Although it sounds like a playlist name, this name was chosen as a form of respect for a dynamic and growing audio culture. The Wryptelin Rasmus, Head of Spotify Design, says it wants to be free from traditional typographical constraints. By combining elements of various font styles, Spotify Mix will show a character that has become a hallmark of the platform. "The result is a type of sans-serif letters that combine classical and contemporary style features, creating a distinctive and unique look. We refinedly combine sound waveforms to stir up rhythmic nuances," W leastelin said.

In creating Spotify Mix, the company partnered with Berlin-based Dinamo Typefaces. During font creation, Spotify focused on visualization of music, art, and mode to reflect the communities and content on the platform. Spotify Mix started rolling out since the announcement was made and will continue for the next few weeks. This new Font will change playlist fonts to marketing campaigns in mobile or desktop applications. In addition to changing fonts on the cover of the playlist, Spotify will also change the letters on their logo. It is not known for sure when this new logo will be used, but the difference is not much. The latest Spotify logo is only seen to have sharper and wider sides.
