The Ministry Of SOEs Supports BPK's Steps To Continue The Process Of The Indofarma Case To The AGO
Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Kartika Wirjoatmodjo said his party supports the steps taken by the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) to submit and continue the legal process related to the PT Indofarma Tbk (INAF) case to the Attorney General's Office (AGO).
"Indeed there is talk, indeed there is a fraud in it (Indofarma). And we have discussed and have supported BPK's steps to report it to the prosecutor's office. So we have reported it too, and there must be legal action," said the man who is familiarly called Tiko to reporters after attending the "DBS Asian Insights Conference 2024" event in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, May 21.
Reflecting on similar cases that befell state-owned companies such as PT Asuransi Jiwasraya and PT Garuda Indonesia several years ago, Tiko emphasized that the Ministry of SOEs supports the necessary law enforcement measures.
Regarding the unpaid salaries of Indofarma employees, Tiko said that his party was in the process of restructuring together with Bio Farma as a holding.
"Hopefully, with Bio Farma's support, we can complete it before the Suspension of Debt Payment Obligations (PKPU) later for all obligations with employees," he said.
On Monday, BPK submitted an Investigative Examination Result Report (LHP) related to Indofarma Financial Management, subsidiaries, and other relevant agencies from 2020 to 2023 to the Attorney General's Office.
BPK found irregularities indicating criminal acts committed by related parties in the financial management of Indofarma and its subsidiaries which resulted in indications of state losses of Rp371.83 billion.

Earlier this month, Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir also emphasized that his party was ready to bring Indofarma to the Attorney General's Office if irregularities were found. The Ministry of SOEs also coordinates with the BPK regarding financial problems experienced by Indofarma.
Indofarma in the information disclosure of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on April 18 has also admitted that it has not paid employee salaries for the March 2024 period, because this red-plate pharmaceutical company is experiencing financial problems.
