Elon Musk Considers EV Battery Investment In Indonesia
Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan said SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk is considering investing in electric vehicle (EV) batteries in Indonesia.
"Yes, earlier regarding the battery (electric vehicle), he considered it," Luhut said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, May 20.
In addition to having the potential to invest in electric vehicle batteries, Luhut said Elon Musk is still studying the possibility of his company building a launch pad in Indonesia.
"Regarding the launch pad, it is still being studied," said Luhut.
Luhut had mentioned the possibility of Elon Musk being willing to board an artificial intelligence or AI project in Indonesia, namely Eureka AI.
"Eureka AI will work with Grok AI later. He (Elon Musk) also has AI and Elon Musk is willing to be a board in Eureka," he said.
He made this statement when asked about the meeting between President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Elon Musk.
