JAKARTA - The Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) reported as many as 60.21 percent or 128,450 of Indonesian pilgrims received "fast track" services at the Hajj 1445 Hijiri/2024 AD.
"The fast track service for this year is given to 128,450 Hajj candidates or 60.21 percent," said Director General (Dirjen) of Hajj and Umrah (PHU) of the Ministry of Religion Hilman Latief in a hearing. Commission VIII DPR reported by ANTARA, Monday, May 20.
Hilman hopes that in the future, all prospective hajj pilgrims from Indonesia can feel this service.
Furthermore, he explained that the fast trackhaji service is an immigration service for Saudi Arabia stationed at the departure airport, which currently includes Soetta-Cengkareng Airport, Adi Soemarmo-Solo, and Juanda-Surabaya.
The service is expected to be able to speed up the inspection of visa and passport immigration documents.
"Arriving in Saudi Arabia, pilgrims do not need to process immigration for long and can go to the bus. It can save the energy of the congregation," he said.
With this service, Hilman continued, pilgrims can immediately go to the hotel and rest upon arrival at Amir Muhammad bin Abdul Aziz Airport (AMAA) Medina, or King Abdul Aziz International Airport (KAAIA) Jeddah, without having to wait for the immigration process in Saudi Arabia.
Through this fast track service, the immigration process through which pilgrims go through feels more comfortable because the country is still doing it.
