NUSA Dua - President of the World Water Council,Lo bigc Fauchon made Indonesia the capital city of World and Bali the world's water center during the 10th World Water Forum this week.

"Yes, Indonesia is the capital city of the world's waters and Bali is the world's water center during this week," said Lohatic Fauchon when starting his remarks at the opening of the 10th WWF Summit in Bali, reported by ANTARA, Monday, May 20.

Fauchon thanked Indonesia, for preparing the forum which will take place on May 19-25, 2024, well and friendly.

He said WWF membership, which is now strengthened by 148 countries, always carries the role of Water Messenger or Ambassador Air.

"President Joko Widodo granted my request, at that time the G20, to become a WATER Messenger and once again I thank you," he said.

However, the role of "Water Messenger" is not enough, Fauchon encourages all policy makers to influence the public to increase innovation, funding, and better water management.

"The envoys, of course the fighters, must fight, fight peacefully, fight for the sake of water peace for their safety, for prosperity," he said.

He hopes that Indonesia's role as the host of this year's WWF event can be a sign of change towards concrete actions in water management globally.
