8 Years Of Untraceable DPO, West Java Police Confirm Not To Close The Murder Case Of Vina Cirebon
The West Java (Jabar) Regional Police's Dirkrimum, Kombes Surawan, emphasized that his party had never closed the case of Vina, a teenager from Cirebon who was murdered and raped in 2016 or eight years ago."What is certain is that we will investigate, we do not close cases because there are victims and do it sadistically. Do they (perpetrators, ED) have masterminds or indeed occur spontaneously," said Surawan, quoted via YouTube tvOneNews, Thursday, May 16.Vina is a teenager from Cirebon who was murdered and raped in August 2016. He was killed with his lover, Muhammad Rizky (16). After the investigation, the police finally named 11 people as suspects.However, of this number, only eight were successfully brought to the court. A total of seven perpetrators were sentenced to life while one perpetrator was sentenced to eight years in prison because he was a minor at the time of the incident.The remaining three are still fugitives. Surawan emphasized that until now his party had never stopped looking for the true identities of the three DPO names. Initials of the three DPOs are Dani, Andi, and Pegi alias Perong.
"So far, we have been looking for information, information, requests for information against convicts in prisons, searches. Now we are looking for whereabouts so that the identity is clearer," explained Surawan.
