JAKARTA - King Charles III is rumored to have lost his sense of taste as a side effect of cancer treatment, according to a NYPost source from The Independent.

Sources later reported the King discussing his condition with British Army veteran Aaron Mapplebeck.

The veteran, who also lost his sense of taste after undergoing chemotherapy, was met by Charles during his visit to the Army Flying Museum in Middle Wallop, Hampshire, Monday (13/5) evening.

As reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 15, Charles was diagnosed with cancer, but his cancer was further confirmed by Buckingham Palace, not prostate cancer.

Although King Charles was hospitalized earlier this year because he had to undergo surgery due to prostate enlargement.

According to a source of the American Cancer Society (ACS), it is possible that the loss of taste is a side effect of treatment therapy that Charles must undergo.

In addition to health problems, Charles is also rumored to have a complicated family relationship with his exiled son, Harry.

Harry has been exiled from his family since moving to California with his wife, Meghan Markle, in 2020.

However, Harry was still seen visiting Charles after learning of his father in London, after reported cancer in February.

In an interview with "Good Morning America," Harry stated that Charles' health condition "definite" had an "unifyable" impact on his family.
