Jakut Angkot Driver Demo In Front Of Heru Budi's Office, Affected By PHP DKI Provincial Government Not Visiting To Join Jaklingko
JAKARTA - A number of angkot drivers held a demonstration in front of the DKI Jakarta City Hall. They flocked to bring their city transportation fleets to fill the road in front of the Jakarta Governor Heru Budi Hartono's office. The drivers and owners of the angkot fleet with routes 03, 05, 09, and 07 of the North Jakarta area expressed their complaints until they felt they were given false hopes by the DKI Provincial Government.Representative of the Jakut angkot owner, Waridin, admitted that they have been offered to join the Jaklingko tariff system and rejuvenate their fleet to Microtrans since several years ago. However, until now, the promise to collaborate with angkot on 4 routes to become a Microtrans has not been fulfilled. What happened was that the DKI Provincial Government instead activated the Transjakarta 10M bus service on the Pulo Gadung - Mayor route in North Jakarta. This route was also demonstrated by the angkot drivers."We have this car, not suddenly the governor gave the fleet. We have credit, there is a DP, we are looking here and there. Finally, what happened? Until today, the 4 Jaklingko routes are not running," said Waridin at DKI City Hall, Wednesday, May 15.At City Hall, Waridin and his fellow drivers and angkot owners who rallied hoped that Heru Budi would meet them.Their hope is that Heru Budi promised the DKI Provincial Government to make it happen so that they can join the Transjakarta management by activating the JAK111, JAK114, and JAK116, and JAK119 microtrans routes. However, none of the representatives of the DKI Provincial Government met him.
Therefore, Waridin admitted that they would again hold a demonstration in the future by bringing in more action participants."We will deploy everything we have in North Jakarta and it is very possible that we also invite other regions. Perhaps this is considered small. If this is considered small, then we will come with a larger number," he added.
