Baleg Kebut Revision UU Kementerian Negara: Angka 34 Dihapus, Presiden Bebas Menentukan Jumlah Kementerian
JAKARTA - The Legislation Body (Baleg) of the DPR is speeding up the discussion on the revision of the Law (UU) of the Ministry of State. The meeting was supposed to be scheduled at 15.00 WIB, but at 14.00 WIB Baleg had already started discussing the law.
During the meeting, the Chairman of the DPR Baleg Supratman Andi Agtas said the discussion of this afternoon's meeting was only to remove the current number of ministries, namely 34. The regulation is in Article 15 of Law Number 39 of 2008.
"Because this is based on yesterday's request, we have distributed several members and materials both in the draft. Therefore, I hope that later our discussion will be discussed, because this only removes and only removes 34 points from the ministry side," Supratman said while chairing a meeting in the baleg room, DPR building, Wednesday, May 15.
"And yesterday it was also supported by the opinion of our friends that we in the presidential system we leave it entirely to the president who is to determine the number of ministries needed," he continued.
The Gerindra politician said, by removing the number 34, it means that the ministry may decrease, increase or remain in accordance with the president's policy.
"So it doesn't lock, the point is from the presidential system that we follow," said Supratman.
