Mataram Police Arrest Woman From Jambi Extorting Girlfriend Rp270 Million, Threatening Mode To Spread Fun Videos
The Mataram City Police, West Nusa Tenggara arrested a woman from Jambi with the initials SS on suspicion of extortion of the victim, who is his girlfriend with the initials B, with a loss of up to Rp. 270 million.
"Based on the evidence we got from the follow-up to the victim's report, we arrested the alleged perpetrator last night while in a cafe in Dasan Agung Village, Mataram City," said Head of the Mataram Police Satreskrim Kompol I Made Yogi Purusa Utama in Mataram, reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 15.
He said one of the pieces of evidence that became the basis for SS's arrest was the transfer of banking from the victim to the alleged perpetrator.
The mode of extortion of the alleged perpetrator, he explained, is by threatening to distribute intimate videos and photos with the victim.
"So, the alleged perpetrator's love affair with the victim has been going on for two years since his introduction on social media in 2020," he said.
Yogi explained that the loss of up to Rp. 270 million was obtained by the alleged perpetrator in various ways. First, the alleged perpetrator admitted to being pregnant and asked the victim for a fee to abort the pregnancy.
"If not given, the alleged perpetrator threatens to distribute videos and intimate photos with the victim," he said.
Another way to extort the victim, he said, was to say that the biological mother of the alleged perpetrator needed money for operating costs.
"The money was given in cash, Rp150 million. The money was handed over in May last year directly to the victim," he said.

Furthermore, in November 2023, the victim was contacted by cell phone by someone on behalf of SS's parents, named Junaidi. To the victim, Junaidi said that SS had died, so he needed Rp10 million in cash.
As it turned out, from the results of the examination, Junaidi revealed that it was SS. He deliberately made the play to be able to return to blackmailing the victim.
Apart from acting on behalf of Junaidi, there is also a similar way for the alleged perpetrator to extort the victim until the loss is recorded at Rp. 270 million.
The police are still investigating SS which leads to alleged criminal violations of Article 368 of the Criminal Code which regulates extortion.
