Many Indonesian Hajj Candidates Arrive In The Holy Land Sick Due To Holding Back

JAKARTA - The Hajj Organizing Committee (PPIH) asked Indonesian pilgrims not to hold back urine while traveling from Indonesia to Medina.

"We did find many cases of worshipers falling ill when they arrived in Saudi Arabia for holding urine while on a flight, this should not have happened," said Head of the Madinah Daker Health Division Indro Murwoko in Medina, Wednesday, May 15, as quoted by Antara.

Based on the report he received, the congregation held back urination on the plane because of his ignorance or fear when he had to stand up or walk on the plane.

In fact, he said, if they do not know there are officers on the plane who can deliver or provide guidance.

"Don't let the congregation hold back urine and defecation because of lack of taste or fear. If you don't know or how, please tell the officers to help, or ask the flight attendants for help," he said.

In some cases found, the congregation who arrived at the hotel in Nabawi felt the area of his genitals hurt, there were also those whose legs were always cramps, and felt dizzy.

They believe that the pain they feel is because they hold urine for hours while on the way.

In addition to holding back urination, Indro also advised the congregation to often drink mineral water, carry out small gymnastics movements, stand up, and take small steps on the plane so that the blood flow runs smoothly.

"Get enough sleep, but don't stay asleep and don't sleep either," he said.

Until day 4 of the congregation's arrival to Medina, the Indonesian Hajj Health Clinic (KKHI) has treated nine Hajj candidates. Of the nine, some have returned to their respective entourage.
