Dozens Of K-9 Dogs Sterilized The Delegation Area Of The World Water Forum Summit In Bali

JAKARTA - The National Police deployed a K-9 unit to secure the 10th World Water Forum (WWF) Summit in Bali. There are 34 dogs that have the ability to track explosives.

"Specifics used by dogs that have the ability to track explosives according to the operation plan are to sterilize them," said Head of the Sterilization Task Force from the 2024 Puri Agung Operations Preventive Task Force, Kombes Hari Muharram in Bali, Wednesday, May 15.

Dozens of K-9 dogs were imported from the National Police Headquarters, Bali Police, NTB Police and East Java Police.

Later, these dogs will be tasked with sterilizing the activities of delegates participating in the World Water Forum Summit.

"The main activities are collaborating with various parties, especially the Paspampres during WWF, especially sterilization in VVIP and VIP," he said.

Not only K-9 dogs, in the sterilization process 92 police personnel will also be involved. They are placed at the border, namely Ketapang Port, Gilimanuk and Lembar Harbor, Lombok.

"The placement of K-9 dogs and personnel is already on the border to carry out sterilization. This is to limit the movement of the perpetrators who can disrupt the World Water Forum activities," said Hari.

In securing the World Water Forum Summit, the National Police held Operation Puri Agung 2024 which started from 17 to 26 May.

The operation involved 10 task forces or task forces consisting of the Preemptive Task Force, Preventive Task Force, Walrolakir Task Force, Action Task Force, Gakkum Task Force, Anti-terror Task Force, Public Relations Task Force, Banops Task Force, East Java Regional Task Force, and NTB Task Force.

Not only that, as many as 5,791 Polri personnel will be involved. Of course, he will also cooperate with related parties such as Paspampres, TNI, BNPT, BSSN, and BNPB.

The 10th World Water Forum will be held in Bali from 18 to 25 May 2024. The activity will discuss four things, namely water, clean water and sanitation conservation, food and energy security, and mitigation of natural disasters.
