Brembo Introduces Hypure, Super Light Kaliper Innovation For Sportbike Motors

JAKARTA - The world of sports bike will be able to enjoy the latest innovations from Brembo, the Italian braking system mogul. This time, Brembo introduced Hypure, a higher-performance Kaliper that is more efficient than similar products in the market.

Hypure, as reported by MCN, May 14, is not just an ordinary Brembo Kaliper. It is specially designed for high-end sports bike motorcycles, and is claimed to be able to provide faster acceleration, more agile handling, and shorter braking distance. How could that be? The secret lies in the weight that is 10 percent lighter than the current best caliber.

Brembo Hypure was created thanks to the "magic combination" of Brembo's expertise and the latest design devices. Aluminum is distributed to the right position to ensure the same stiffness as today's best Kaliper, while increasing the heat exchange and reducing total weight. The outer shape is also optimized to produce a clean and sharp surface, in accordance with the legacy of Brembo sporty.

The advantage of Hypure is not only limited to its weight. This Kaliper also pays attention to the reduction in the use of brake camps. The unique spring/ramp/pen system and the special bearing surface between the Kaliper and the brake camp make Hypure more efficient on brake camps, so that the replacement of brake camps becomes less frequent and environmentally friendly.

Brembo Hypure will first debut as a standard equipment on high-performance sports bikes whose name is still kept secret. However, MCN predicts KTM 990RC R and it is likely that Yamaha R9 will become a new member of the family of supersport motorcycles that use Hypure in 2025. With a stunning mix of performance, efficiency and design, Brembo Hypure is ready to take sports bike to a higher level.
