Apple Remove SIM Card Slot On Latest IPad Model
JAKARTA During the Let Loose event held on Tuesday, May 7, Apple showcased improvements in its newest iPad lineup. One thing that is not realized, Apple has thrown away slots to insert SIM cards. Apple's official website added some important information that was not explained in Apple Event's live broadcast. One of the information added explains about changes in using SIM in both iPad models. Apple has removed SIM card slots on the iPad Pro with chipset M4 and iPad Air 6. The company no longer supports the use of physical SIMs and encourages its newest iPad users to switch to SIM (e-SIM) electronics. This is the first time Apple has removed SIM card slots in the iPad lineup. It is not explained why Apple disappeared SIM slots from its latest devices, but Apple has been doing the same on the iPhone since a few years ago. The iPhone 14 is the first model to lose SIM card slots, but this change only applies in the US. In contrast to iPad Pro M4 and iPad Air 6, Apple retail sites note that the iPad will be without SIM card slots to be extended to Canada.

The use of e-SIM has indeed grown in popularity over the past few years, but there are still many devices that provide SIM card slots. Unlike Apple which really encourages users to switch to e-SIM. The use of this e-SIM may be a hassle for users who like to switch devices and move their numbers. If you often move SIM cards, you don't need to worry because Apple hasn't implemented changes in Indonesia.
