Meta Launches Generative AI-Based Image And Text Making Tools For Advertisers

JAKARTA Meta, the company that houses Instagram and WhatsApp, launched the latest refined generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) feature for advertisers. This feature was launched on Tuesday, May 7. This new feature is a complete image-making tool and text. Both tools will be launched in the form of trial. For now, Meta will not include a watermark even though the tool produces images with the help of AI. Meta's chief Monetization, John Hegeman, quoted by VOI from Reuters, said that his company is still studying the proper label placement for advertising needs. If this tool is ready to be rolled out globally, Meta will release its use guidelines at the end of the year. Generative AI-based image creation for advertisers can create a complete image variation of the original advertising material. Only by including the order text, advertisers can develop the original ad material and obtain the corresponding image. For example, if advertisers want to promote a coffee seed business by displaying a cup of hot coffee, a generative AI from Meta will produce images with variations outside of advertising material, such as a fertile agricultural scene with coffee cup portraits. Currently, Meta is developing a Text Guidelines feature to help image-making tools. This feature will be released in the coming months to help advertisers adjust the variation of the ad material they want.

After creating an image, advertisers can add text over images created by Meta's generative AI. Advertisers can choose one of the dozen types of letters Meta offers and adapt them to the images they create. Although advertisers are free to use these two tools during testing, the company's rules are still the same. Advertisers should not use image and text-making tools for campaign needs or anything else politically related.
