Had Rejected The Offer, Chris Pine Disappointed Wonder Woman 3 Canceled

JAKARTA - Chris Pine admitted that he was disappointed after learning that Wonder Woman 3 film canceled. As one of the characters, Pine sees the franchise as having a good story.

"I was surprised that they refused a billion-dollar franchise and decided to move elsewhere," Chris Pine said.

Chris Pine plays Steve Trevor, a man who becomes the lover of Diana Prince's character, played by Gal Gadot.

"I don't know what the reason behind it; it's above my wage value, but Wonder Woman is an amazing character. Patty (Jenkins) is a wise director," he said.

In his first film, Steve Trevor passed away but returned to the sequel when Wonder Woman hoped he would return to reality. Pine herself reveals it looks like her character wasn't in Wonder Woman's third film when it was produced.

"I didn't. Steve must have died. It would be strange to bring me back to life," Pine said again.

Initially, Chris Pine had rejected the offer as Wonder Woman's lover, but she wore a conversation with Patty Jenkins which said Wonder Woman was not an ordinary superhero film.

"I'm not interested in playing a lover, then when I talk to Patty, she describes it like a superhero, it's a romance, like Casablanca, it's a film I want to make I feel great that when I see the superhero film it's like a romance film," said Chris Pine.

Wonder Woman 3 plans were officially canceled after James Gunn and Peter Safran led DC Studios and rebooted DC's cinematic universe.
