Turkish Foreign Minister: Recognition Of The Palestinian State Is A Bad Blow For Israel
JAKARTA - Turkey believes that the recognition of many countries of Palestine will be a major blow to Israel, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said.
While speaking at the 15th Summit of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OKI) in Gambia, he added that Turkey is ready to use all available means to suppress Israel.
"The recognition of Palestine by more countries will be a major blow to Israel," Fidan was quoted as saying by ANTARA, Sunday, May 5.
Fidan called on OIC countries to make every effort to ensure the full membership of Palestine in the United Nations (UN).
Turkey will also take advantage of all diplomatic means so that Israel is not left without punishment, he said.
According to Fidan, Turkey on May 1 decided to join South Africa to sue Israel at the International Criminal Court (ICC).
On October 7, 2023, Hamas launched a rocket attack on Israel from Gaza and broke through the border, killing 1,200 people and holding 240 others hostage, according to Tel Aviv.
