Armed Police Geruduk Massa Student Pro Palestine Camping At UCLA Campus, Tendas Demolished

JAKARTA - The police dispersed the masses of pro-Palestinian students who demonstrated on the UCLA campus,men's campus, United States (US), Thursday, May 5 local time.

Citing The Telegraph, the students who set up a tent to camp on the UCLA campus were raided by officers dressed in antihuru-hara police.

The barrier to the camp area with the words 'From The River to The Sea' sequence was dropped, the student mass tents were torn down, many slepting bags were left by their owners scattered.

The crowd of students who left their tents were pushed back to the Powell Library area in the northern area of the UCLA campus.

At that location, students lined up hand in hand refusing to be secured by the antihuru hara police. They also set boundaries so that the police would not approach the plywood board.

Meanwhile, police officers who faced face-to-face with the mass of students did not hesitate to point their weapons at the demonstrators' body.

At the back of the barricades of the mass of the surviving UCLA students, the board containing the Gaza mural that was bombed with the inscription that the death toll of the mounting Palestinians was not comparable to the deaths of Israelis.

The New York Times reported that around 100 student demonstrators were still at the location guarded by the riot police.

Meanwhile, Al Jazeera said that many student demonstrators at UCLA were arrested by the authorities. Their hands were tied with ropes such as cables.
