DKPP: Reports Of Most 2024 Election Violations From Papua
JAKARTA - The Honorary Council for Election Implementation (DKPP) of the Republic of Indonesia revealed that there were most reporting of violation cases in the 2024 General Election from Papua Province.
DKPP member Ratna Dewi Pettalolo said, for complaints about election violations received by DKPP, there were seven cases with one of them in the trial stage.
"The six reports are still in the verification stage so that no delegation has been carried out," he said in a written statement, Monday, April 29, which was confiscated by Antara.
He hopes that the implementation of the 2024 Pilkada will have the support of all stakeholders to jointly make the democratic process a success in the area.
"Because the regional elections cannot run fairly and in an orderly manner without the support of all parties, both the community, the government of political parties and members of the press and the pair of candidates," he said.
He explained, thus all parties must cooperate with high integrity so that the regional elections will run well in Papua.
