A Woman Prisoner For A Drug Case At The Palu Women's Prison Escaped By Climbing The Side Fence
JAKARTA - A female prisoner at the Class III Women's Prison in Palu, Central Sulawesi, escaped. The detainee, Melvira alias Ira, was known to have fled on Friday, March 5, at around 06.00 a.m. local time.
As reported by Antara, Sunday, March 7, according to Gusti Noviyanto, one of the security and order staff (Kamtib) of the Palu Women's Prison, officers only realized that a detainee had escaped during the change of guard shift.
Based on the information obtained, this prisoner escaped through the fence and then climbed the roof of the Palu Women's Prison.
"She climbed through the side fence so no one could see. She climbed the fence and continued to climb to the roof of the office and jumped down", Gusti said.

Gusti explained that the prisoner with this drug case was only on her first month of detainment at the Palu Women's Prison, and is still a prisoner at the Parigi Moutong District Attorney's Office.
"She is a Parigi District Attorney's detainee, the case was processed there", he said.
Currently, the Palu Women's Prison is still pursuing and assigning the detainee to the People Wanted List (DPO).
However, until now, Sunday, the detainee has not been successfully secured.
"We have searched her parents' house but nothing, we have coordinated with the police", he also said.
