Nicholas Saputra Appointed As Ambassador Of BCA Bakti

JAKARTA - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk or BCA (BBCA) appointed actor Nicholas Saputra as Ambassador to BCA to increase awareness and involvement of many parties in creating positive social impacts.

The ambassador's appointment was carried out in conjunction with the launch of the #BaktiBCA campaign on Wednesday, April 24, marked by the premiere of the Video of Evidence of Bakti whose manufacture also involved partner community leaders on three islands.

"A sustainable positive impact must be created starting from the scale of individuals, society and ecosystems. Collaboration of various parties is an important factor in realizing Indonesia's sustainable development dream and we are trying to take place under Bakti BCA's 'payung'," said BCA Director Antonius Widodo Mulyono when opening the #BuktiBaktiBCA Campaign Launch agenda in the City Forest by Plataran, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, April 24.

Meanwhile, Nicholas said he was honored to have been appointed as Ambassador to Bakti BCA. This new role, he said, sparked enthusiasm for him to contribute to the creation of changes that could encourage prosperity and mutual progress.

"Indeed, behind today, I focus more on the world of the environment or culture. But, seeing how BCA has many programs that are related to each other, this is actually my opportunity to be able to learn and enter other fields," said the actor.

Nicholas has long been known as a celebrity who actively expresses his concern for social and environmental issues. As a BCA Bakti Ambassador, he will be involved in various BCA Bakti social activities in various aspects of life. Starting from education, health, preserving the culture of empowerment of individuals and groups to the environment.

For your information, Bakti BCA activities cover various fields, such as education (Education Certificate), health (Health Community), culture (Cultural Security), community empowerment (BCA Bakti Village) and the environment (Environmental Agency).

In the field of education, BCA has a number of programs ranging from coaching 20 BCA Bakti Schools to teacher training in Eastern Indonesia.

Since 2009, "Education Work" has routinely provided scholarships, which so far have recorded more than 7,000 undergraduate program students who have received these benefits.

Meanwhile, BCA's contribution in the health sector through "Health Work" includes being one of the funding partners with a support value of up to 1 million US dollars in the program to accelerate the reduction in stunting sufferers from the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) and the United States International Development Institute (USAID).

In the field of culture or "Cultural Action", BCA is committed to preserving various arts, culture and traditions of the archipelago and collaborating with activists of art and local artists since 2012.

Specifically for the preservation of wastra, BCA together with the Indonesian Natural Color Association (Warlami) since 2022 has carried out natural coloring development for weaving groups and wastra activists in South Central Timor and Baduy which produce environmentally friendly and high selling products.

BCA also has a special program to develop human resource potential (HR) in various villages or "Bacti BCA". As of the end of 2023, BCA provided guidance to 26 tourist villages, including 14 foster villages and 12 villages in collaboration partners with Bakti BCA with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf).

While in the environmental aspect or "Environmental Service", BCA also has several programs ranging from rehabilitation and release of orangutans, turtle conservation, leopard conservation to tree planting.
