Fleeing From West Jakarta Social Service, ODGJ In Cengkareng Returns Home Then Stabs His Biological Brother

JAKARTA - The man with the initials A suddenly went berserk and was desperate to stab his own brother in Cengkareng, West Jakarta, Wednesday, April 24.

The perpetrator was also secured by the Bhabinkamtibmas of the Cengkareng Police along with the West Jakarta Social Service Sub-dept. After being investigated, it turned out that the perpetrator had a mental disorder (ODGJ).

Cengkareng Police Chief Kompol Hasoloan Situmorang said this incident began when the ODGJ with the initials A suddenly went on a sudden rampage.

In order to anticipate the beginning, the East Cengkareng Bhabinkamtibmas then forwarded it to the Social Service.

"Residents contacted Bhabinkamtibmas Cengkareng Timur, Bripka Muhairi, to overcome the situation," he said when confirmed, Wednesday, April 24.

After receiving the report, continued the Police Chief, Bripka Muhairi immediately coordinated with the local social service.

"It turned out that A had been treated at the social service, but on Wednesday, April 14, 2024, he managed to escape from the treatment site," he said.

Bhabinkamtibmas then contacted the Cengkareng District Social Service officers and they immediately went to the scene of the incident.

With the approval of his family, the ODGJ man with the initials A was finally brought back to the social service for further treatment and supervision.

"This is done to prevent similar incidents from happening again. Then to ensure A gets treatment that is in accordance with his condition," he said.
