Michael Cuscuna, Grammy Winner Jazz Musician Dies At 75 Years Old
JAKARTA - Senior jazz musician Michael Cuscuna reportedly passed away on Saturday, April 20 yesterday. The winner of the three Grammys breathed his last at the age of 75.
Cuscuna was declared dead of cancer. He passed away while at his residence in Stamford, Connecticut. The sad news was conveyed by his best friend who is also a senior musician, Billy Vera.
Throughout his life Michael Cuscuna has had a productive career. He has produced hundreds of musical works from the 70s to 2000s.

In early 1970 he was lined up to be a producer at Atlantic Records, and recorded alongside veteran names such as Dave Brubeck, total Raitt and Chris Smither.
In 1983 he initiated the Mosaic Records which focused on reissue albums and boxsets. One of the most famous album masters he worked on included Miles Davis and Nat King Cole. From there he won three Grammy trophies which are proof of his capacity in the music world.
