Relegated, Bhayangkara FC Takes A Player With Police Status To Strengthen Team In League 2
JAKARTA - Bhayangkara FC is confirmed to be relegated to Liga 2 for the 2024/2025 competition season. In the midst of this situation, there was a surprising statement for other club players with police status.
This was revealed by Chief Operating Officer (COO) Bhayangkara FC, Sumardji. He said the team would attract all players who are members of the Indonesian National Police (COO) to defend The Guardian in League 2 even though they previously defended other teams.
The decision was made with the aim that Bhayangkara FC would not last long in Liga 2. Sumardji is determined to bring Bhayangkara FC back to League 1 as soon as possible.

"All players with police status, both in Bhayangkara FC and other clubs, must be responsible for raising the club back to Liga 1. It is time for loyalty to their institutions to be unified," Sumardji said in his official statement quoted Monday, April 22, 2024.
The Bhayangkara FC camp actually has many players who are indeed police officers. Call it Awan Setho, Sani Rizky Fauzi, Dendy Sulistyawan, Muhammad Hargianto, I Putu Gede, Muhammad Faturachman, to Indra Kahfi.
Judging from this decision, the names of players who are also police at other clubs will clearly be considered. They are Muhammad Ferarri (Persija Jakarta), Kakang Rudianto (Persib Bandung), Ananda Reyhan (PSM Makassar), Ginanjar Wahyu (Arema FC), and Frengky Missa (Persikabo 1973).
Especially for Muhammad Ferarri, his name is a striking candidate who may be included in Sumardji's plan. Moreover, he also has the status of a regular player for the national team and his contract with Persija Jakarta is also still running until 2026.
Regarding the plan, Sumardi intends to communicate with Persija's management to withdraw Muhammad Ferari. However, it is not yet known when the communication will be carried out.
"All police player members must have the awareness to sacrifice to Bhayangkara as their biological mother."
"Of course everything is in accordance with the transfer rules if it is still under contract. For Ferari, I will discuss it with Persija management," said Sumardji.
The decision to attract local players with police status is the only way that Bhayangkara FC can do to have quality players. This is related to League 2 regulations which only allow one team to be strengthened by two foreign troops.
