Airlangga Congratulations To Prabowo-Gibran

Responding to the results of the Constitutional Court (MK) decision on the 2024 Presidential Election dispute (Pilpres), Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto congratulated Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

"I congratulate Pak Prabowo and Mas Gibran on being president (and vice president) elected from the election results, and of course the KPU will make a decision on that in a day or two," Airlangga said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, April 22.

Airlangga praised the performance of the Constitutional Court for accommodating the trial process for the 2024 presidential election dispute well and transparently.

"Alhamdulillah, the results have been clearly decided and by the Constitutional Court, the (dispute) of the presidential election has been completed, so we don't need to talk about the presidential election anymore, the presidential election has been completed," he said.

With the ratification of the verdict, said Airlangga, the issue regarding the results of the 2024 presidential election has been resolved.

He invited the entire community to unite again in dealing with the global geopolitical situation that is currently being felt by Indonesia.

"With the end of the presidential election, we work together again, working together so that we can mitigate global challenges that do not benefit Indonesia," he said.

Previously, the Constitutional Court (MK) decided to reject all applications submitted by the presidential candidate pair and vice presidential candidate number 3 Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD in the 2024 Presidential Election Result Dispute (PHPU) case.

"The verdict, trial, in the exception: reject the exception of the Respondent and the exception of the Related Party in its entirety. In the main application, reject the Petitioner's application in its entirety," said Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Suhartoyo.

The Constitutional Court in its conclusion stated that Ganjar-Mahfud's application was not legally justified in its entirety. Regarding this decision, the three Constitutional Justices submitted different opinions, namely Saldi Isra, Enny Nurbaningsih, and Arief Hidayat.
