Megawati To The Point Of Crying In The Face Of Heavy Training At Redmen
JAKARTA - The Indonesian volleyball player, Megawati Hanggetri Pertiwi, admitted that she had cried and wanted to go home early in the face of heavy training with the South Korean volleyball club, Redmen.
Megawati joined Redmen last season. His contribution during a season escorted the club through the playoffs for the first time in seven years.
"I don't know what the training there was like, it was quite heavy, tired, and had cried. I wanted to go home at the beginning," Megawati said at a press conference at the Mulia Hotel, Jakarta, Friday, April 19, 2024.
Playing abroad is actually not Megawati's first experience. The 19th Jember-born volleyball player has previously played in Thailand and Vietnam.

While in Thailand from 2020 to 2021, the volleyball player nicknamed Megatron strengthened Supreme Chonburi-E.Tech. Then, he defended Ha Phu Thanh Hoa in Vietnam in 2022.
Megawati said that the very different climate in South Korea did not immediately make her give up. He also slowly built up his determination to be successful.
"However, I finally remember the mother at home who had prayed and allowed me to leave. So, if I come home empty-handed, it will feel different," he said.
Meanwhile, Megawati Hanggetri will strengthen Redmen during the exhibition match against Indonesia All Stars on Saturday, April 20, 2024. The match will take place at the Indonesia Arena, Jakarta.
Redmen come with a full squad to play this exhibition match. This match will mark the opening of the highest level of the Indonesian volleyball league, Proliga 2024, which starts tomorrow.
