Samsung Will Switch To Vertical App Cap Model
JAKARTA Almost all Android devices have changed the appearance of the application drawer. Now, many devices use vertical rolling modes in the application drawer, but not with Samsung. The South Korean electronics company still maintains a drawer of applications rolling from the left. However, it looks like this app drawer display will change after Samsung launched One UI 7 which carries Android 15. Over the years, Samsung maintained the Good Lock module as Home Up which could change the layout of the application drawer to vertical. Not long ago, the module was removed until the application drawer layout returned to modedefault. Many Galaxy users did not like this change so they left negative reviews on the Galaxy Store module list. When someone mentioned the vertical application drawer model in the Samsung Community, the Good Lock team gave a response.

On Wednesday, April 17, the Good Lock team said that the vertical application drawer model was deliberately deleted. "It should be noted that the Home Up vertical list function is currently being prepared for support in the next OS version." Samsung did not explain what OS would include a change in the application drawer model. Most likely, this change will be added to One UI 7 because SamMobile has received direct information from a quite important party in Good Lock. One UI 7 is expected to release in the third quarter of 2024 when Android 15 is launched to the public. To prove whether a vertical application drawer model will be added to One UI 7, we have to wait until the system is released.
