Lakers Beat Pelicans 124-108, LeBron James And Anthony Davis Heroes Victory

JAKARTA - Los Angeles Lakers appeared dominant when they beat New Orleans Pelicans 124-108, in the closing match of the regular season on Monday 15 April morning. In that match, LeBron James recorded triple-doubly with 28 points, 17 assists, and 11 rebounds, while Anthony Davis contributed double-doubly with 30 points and 11 rebounds.

This victory brought the Lakers (47-35) to the 8th position and prepared for a rematch with Pelians (49-33) in the play-in on Tuesday night in New Orleans.

Austin Reaves contributed 20 points, D'Angelo Russell scored 19, and Rui Hachimura recorded 11 points for the Lakers. Meanwhile, CJ McColllum was the top scorer for New Orleans with 25 points, followed by Herbert Jones with 18 points. Larry Nance Jr. and Brandon Ingram, who came back after 12 games due to a knee injury, each scored 13 points.

Although Pelians had closed the gap in scores, the Lakers were never left behind in this match, leading by a margin of up to 23 points in the first half and winning 68-42 in points in the record area.

Reaves and Russell started the Lakers attack in the third quarter with each scoring a 3-point shot, helping the Lakers expand their lead to 85-57.

Davis impressed with eight of his 14 points in the first quarter, helping the Lakers lead 17-7. Meanwhile, Ingram recorded the final nine points for Pelicans so they cut the gap to 30-24 at the end of the first quarter.

Then, in the second quarter, Taurean Prince and James each scored two withers to help the Lakers increase their lead by 15 points. Pelicans was close to a difference of 12 points before the Lakers again increased their lead to 60-37.

Even though Pelians tried to cut the gap in the score, the Lakers still took the lead with a score of 70-53 in the middle of the game. With this result, the Lakers won in the 3-1 season series with their first win as the visitors.
