Dewi Perssik Challenged To Sing Sholawatan Song During Eid In Pakistan
JAKARTA - Dangdut singer Dewi Perssik was invited by the Indonesian Consulate General in Karachi after being offered by the wife of the Indonesian Consul General in Karachi, Ani Kuncoro to sing at their home during Eid some time ago.
Dewi said that she accepted this invitation because Ani Kuncoro knew Rully, her lover who worked as a pilot for airlines in Pakistan.
"Then I left yesterday because I was invited by Mrs. Kunjen and Mr. Konjen, I happened to know her mother, Mrs. Ani Kuncoro, and the Consul General was also very, very friendly, so I was invited to her," said Dewi Perssik via text message, Friday, April 12.
"Incidentally, there are a lot of pilots here, there are about 10 people, so they also told Mrs. Kojen that her partner, Mas Ruli, Dewi Perssik, 'oh Dewi Perssik', finally they said, 'can't you come here to sing?', at the open house festival. culinary is also to introduce Indonesian culinary in neighboring countries," he continued.
