Korlantas Polri Sudah Siapkan Penanganan Arus Balik Lebaran 2024
JAKARTA - Head of the Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) of the National Police Inspector General Pol. Aan Suhanan said his party had prepared steps to handle the backflow of Eid Al-Fitr 1445H/2024 by imposing traffic engineering on toll roads and arteries.
"For traffic engineering, we will do it at the time of the backflow," said Aan at KM 72 of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, Thursday.
The two-star police general explained that the implementation of traffic engineering was in accordance with the schedule stated in the Joint Decree (SKB). The backflow is enforced from April 12 to 14.
"We will apply one way from KM 414 in Kalikangkung to KM 72 in Jakarta-Cikampek," he said, quoted by Antara.
Korlantas Polri has again implemented a contraflow system from KM 72 Cipali Toll Road to KM 47 Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road.
"After one way, we will do a contraflow up to KM 47," he said.
The former Dirgakkum Korlantas Polri explained that his consideration was to continue to enforce contraflowarus back, after an evaluation was carried out after the traffic accident at KM 58 during the conflow, which killed 12 people.
He said that when the volume of vehicles on a part of the road experienced an overload or a visibility (road capacity with a total vehicle) of more than 0.8 percent or close to 1 percent, efforts were needed to increase road capacity.
" universally in any country, what will increase the capacity of the road with? That is by contraflow," he explained.

Based on Jasamarga's prediction, the visibility at KM 66 reached 0.96 percent and even reached 1.16 percent if traffic engineering was not carried out.
"At KM 66, the meeting between Trans Java from the east and Cipularangan from the Bandung direction. So at the meeting the visit was at 1.16 percent," said Aan.
Although traffic engineering has been carried out, said Aan, the visibility at that point is still at 0.96 percent. This means that the flow will be congested, and it will be difficult if traffic engineering is not carried out.
"But we will manage this. Hopefully with some restrictions later this can reduce the more ideal visibility," he said.
Aan emphasized that the application of contraflowarus was carried out by following the evaluation records submitted by relevant stakeholders, including experts.
The evaluation is by deploying safety cars, adding signs and road barriers with a distance of 30 meters to 10 meters, and every 2.5 meters will be docked for road barriers.
In addition, placing officers on every street median, from Jasamarga and Korlantas Polri.
In addition to contraflow, operational restrictions on goods transportation will also be imposed until April 16.
"Those are some of our efforts, then for rescue vehicles, cranes, ambulances, firefighters, will be reproduced in contraflow sections, so that speed to deal with disturbances or accidents will be contraflowed even faster," said Aan.
