Champions League Quarter-Finals, Arsenal Issue Full Ammunition Challenges Bayern Munich
JAKARTA - Arsenal will face Bayern Munich's guests in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals, Wednesday 10 April starting at 02.00 WIB, at the Emirates Stadium, London.
Arsenal qualified for the last eight after eliminating Portunal FC Porto club on a 4-2 aggregate. Meanwhile Bayern Munich has the right to appear in the quarter-finals by stopping Lazio from Italy 3-1.
Playing at home, Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta is expected to play his flagship formation of 4-3-3. The Spaniard will field trio Gabriel Martinelli, Kai Havertz, and Bukayo Saka.
The trio of Brazil, Germany, England will be supported by three players in midfield, namely Declan Rice, Jorginho, and Martin Odegaard. While in the back line, Pep Guardiola's former assistant at Manchester City will feature Ben White, French defender William Saliga, Gabriel Magalhaes, and Takehiro Tomiyasu. The position of goalkeeper will be entrusted to David Raya.
In the visitors' camp, coach Thomas Tuchel will play a 4-2-3-1 pattern. The former Chelsea coach will be expected to feature Harry Kane as the sole striker.
The player from Imggris will be supported by trio Thomas Muller, Jamal Musiala, and Serge Gnabri. Midfielders Konrad Leimer and Leon Goretzka duet in midfield.
While on the back, Bayern will play Joshua Kimmich, Dayot Upamecano, Kim Min-jae, and Alphonso Davies. They escorted goalkeeper Ulreich.
