Sunbird Brings Back IMessage On Android Phones
JAKARTA Sunbird, the iMessage application for Android devices, was temporarily disabled for several months due to user privacy and security concerns. Now, the application has been re-launched.
Through the company's official blog, Sunbird announced that it has re-launched its application in beta. The company says that its application infrastructure has been thoroughly evaluated.
Sunbird did not explain what kind of change was in its application. However, the company assures its loyal users that it still holds its commitment, which is to offer safe interoperability applications.
"(Sunbird) offers a strong, secure, and integrated messaging experience that bridges the gap between Android users and iOS."
"The company's approach not only increases user connectivity, but also contributes positively to the digital landscape," said Sunbird.

Sunbird was first launched in 2022, but access is quite limited as it is only launched in private beta. The service was only widely available when Sunbird decided to partner with Nothing.
These two startups launched Sunbird-backed Nothing Chats. However, a few days after the app rolled out, the Sunbird and Nothing Chats apps reportedly had security concerns, such as easy-to-access messages and user media.
Because of that, Sunbird temporarily stopped their application without providing clarity on when the application will be re-launched. Now, with hundreds of thousands of users on the waiting list, Sunbird will reconnect with iMessage.
