Rizki Juniansyah Qualifies For The 2024 Paris Olympics After Becoming A World Champion
JAKARTA The Indonesian men's lifter, Rizki Juniansyah, qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics after coming out as world champion at the 2024 IWF World Cup.
At the event, Rizki successfully brought home a gold medal from the men's 73 kilogram class in Phuket, Thailand, Thursday, April 4, 2024.
"Indonesian men's weightlifting athlete, Rizki Juniansyah, qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics. This certainty was obtained after Rizki won the 2024 IWF World Cup at 73 kilograms," said the Ministry of Youth and Sports statement on Instagram.
Rizki brought home the gold medal after he successfully recorded a total force of 365 kilograms. He made a snatch weighing 164 kilograms and 201 kilograms in the clean & jerk force.

This result made Rizki follow his senior Eko Yuli Irawan to Paris. Eko already has a ticket for the 2024 Paris Olympics on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.
Rizki is the ninth Indonesian athlete to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics. This year's Olympics are Rizki's debut in the world's largest multi-event.
Apart from Rizki and Eko, tickets to Paris have also been secured by Arif Dwi Pangestu (panahan), Desak Made Rita Kusuma Dewi (tilts), Rifda Irfanaluthfi (indonesian gymnasts), Diananda Choriunisa (floods), Rahmad Adi Mulyono (rocket climbing), and Fathur Gustafian (shooting), and Rio Waida (surple).
