List Of 16 Indonesian Representatives In Badminton Asia Championship 2024

JAKARTA Indonesia has 16 representatives who are ready to appear in the 2024 Badminton Asia Championship (BAC) tournament which will take place this month.

The tournament will take place in Ningbo, China, on April 9-14, 2024. This is the last event to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The details of the representatives sent by Indonesia are two men's singles, three representatives each in the women's singles and men's doubles, and four pairs of women's doubles and mixed doubles, respectively.

The men's singles sector, Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, came as defending champion. He will be accompanied by Jonatan Christie.

Last year Anthony Ginting brought home the title from this event after defeating Singapore's singles in the final, Loh Kean Yew.

Then in the women's singles, Indonesia's Gregoria Mariska Tunjung will be accompanied by two juniors, Ester Nurumi Tri Wardoyo and Putri Kusuma Wardani.

In the men's doubles sector, initially there were four couples who passed. However, veteran doubles Hendra Setiawan/Mohammad Ahsan decided to withdraw.

Without Hendra/Ahsan, the men's doubles were only represented by Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto, Bagas Maulana/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri, and Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin.

For Bagas/Fikri, this tournament is important to ensure they qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Their best chance must be out as champions in order to get to France.

The four women's doubles representatives who took part in this tournament were Lanny Tria Mayasari/Ribka Sugiarto, Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amalia Cahaya Pratiwi, Meilysa Trias Puspitasari/Rachel Alllessya Rose, and Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti.

Finally, the four mixed doubles that took part were Adnan Maulana/Nita Violina Marwah, Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Haningtyas Mentari, Dejan Ferdinansyah/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja, and Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Lisa Ayu Kusumawati.
